What this is

Connecticut Kitchen Guide is a directory of 217 kitchen remodeling businesses across the state, built for homeowners trying to figure out which local contractor is worth calling before they commit to a redesign, a full gut renovation, or a smaller cabinet-and-countertop refresh. Instead of asking you to sort through scattered review sites yourself, we pull the public information together in one place and rank it against a fixed set of criteria.

It’s meant for two kinds of visitors: people comparing several remodelers in their town before requesting quotes, and people who already have a name in mind and want to check it against the competition.

Where the listing data comes from

Each entry starts from public business records: the company’s registered details, service area, and the star rating and review count showing on its Google Business Profile. We also read through recent Google reviews and summarize what customers are consistently saying, about cabinet installation quality, communication during a project, timelines, or cleanup, without copying or republishing the review text itself. If you want the original source, every listing links out to the business’s Google profile so you can read reviews in full.

How rankings are earned

Placement inside the ranked list comes only from the published rubric on our /methodology/ page: star rating, review volume, how recently reviews were posted, and how complete the listing itself is. No business can pay to move up, and no business can pay to have a negative pattern in its reviews smoothed over. A remodeler can request a correction to factual details on its own listing, an address, a phone number, a service area, but it cannot edit its score, its review sentiment summary, or its position relative to other remodelers. That separation is what keeps the ranking meaningful.

Sponsored placements

Some pages include a listing marked “Sponsored.” These are clearly labeled, shown in their own section apart from the ranked results, and have no bearing on where any business lands in the earned ranking. A remodeler’s sponsorship status is never visible to, or usable by, the scoring process.

The enquiry side, plainly

Connecticut Kitchen Guide is an independent directory and comparison resource, and it also generates enquiries for local providers. When you ask to be matched with someone, we pass your request along to providers relevant to your request, and we may receive a referral fee for that introduction. That arrangement never touches scores or earned rankings, the two are kept completely apart.

Who runs it

This directory is published by True Level Media, publishing independent trade directories since 2026. True Level Media scores kitchen remodelers using public reviews, star ratings, review volume, and listing completeness, and keeps the algorithm walled off from any knowledge of which businesses are lead-generation clients. Editorial oversight of the rankings belongs to Dana Whitfield, Editor. Listings are rechecked on a monthly cycle, closed businesses are pulled promptly, and each listing carries a “last verified” date so you can see it’s actively maintained rather than left to go stale.
