Shiny Construction earns consistent praise for quality work, fair estimates, and a clean job site. Horacio (the owner) and his team show up on time, communicate well, and clean up after themselves-reviewers repeatedly say they'd hire them again.
Malpica delivers strong results on outdoor work like decks and exterior projects, often completing jobs in days and earning repeat business. Kitchen and interior work appear less common in reviews; quality swings sharply between exceptional (thorough, permits handled, crew pays attention) and frustrating (material mix-ups, crews unfamiliar with scope), suggesting project fit and crew assignment matter heavily.
Both five-star reviews praise Hector's crew and Mark for staying on schedule, professionalism, and a knowledgeable team that homeowners trusted with multiple remodeling projects.
Rob Haddad's team delivers full renovations and painting work on schedule and within budget, with reviewers consistently noting meticulous attention to detail and responsive communication. The crew handles everything from kitchen updates and cabinetry to power washing and flooring across Connecticut.
Reviewers consistently report work that exceeds expectations: the team completes projects on time, stays within budget, and finishes with meticulous attention to detail. Staff keep customers informed throughout, leave sites clean, and handle multiple room types (kitchen, bathroom, flooring, painting) with equal skill and integrity. The owner personally oversees jobs and maintains high standards across condo and single-family homes. Customers who use 3L for multiple projects return repeatedly, citing the rare combination of expert workmanship and genuine accountability to customers over price-padding.
All three reviews award five stars. Work comes in on time, stays neat, and the owner adjusts scope when unexpected structural issues arise. Cabinet and countertop installs praised for quality and cost-conscious management.
Strong performers on completed work: five-star reviews consistently praise Jose and his crew for precise tiling, hardwood refinishing, kitchen and bathroom finishes done on time and on budget, with daily cleanup. However, a sharp divide emerges in how they handle inquiry. Negative reviews cluster around hostile reactions when customers ask for competing quotes or seek transparency, with reviewers describing cursing, rudeness, and accusations of wasting time. Repeat clients who commit early report excellent service.
Both five-star reviewers report solid execution and responsiveness. One had minor issues that were fixed completely; another praised them for storefront work completed to spec and on schedule. Limited review evidence, but what exists points to reliability.

Monica Velez and Jonathan Gordon translate vague ideas into functional, beautiful spaces with patience and genuine care. Both designers excel at understanding clients' style, managing contractors, and solving problems mid-project. They offer flexible pricing tiers and work across new construction, renovations, and furnishing-only projects. Their main friction point is waitlists for initial consultations, though reviewers note this reflects demand rather than a service flaw.
