CFM (cubic feet per minute) is the standard measurement of how much air a range hood can move per minute, indicating its ventilation strength and ability to clear cooking byproducts from your kitchen.

CFM stands for cubic feet per minute and measures how much air a range hood pulls from your kitchen and moves outside or through a filter. The higher the CFM rating, the more powerful the ventilation. A hood with 300 CFM pulls 300 cubic feet of air per minute, while a 600 CFM hood moves twice that volume.

CFM matters because it directly affects how well your range hood controls cooking odors, steam, and airborne grease.
